Be Ready
Jesus told us to pray that we would be ready for his Return.
Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole Earth.
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man (Luke 21:32-36).
Jesus warned us against being unprepared.
Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door (Matthew 24:32-33).

Jesus also rebuked those who understood the weather, but who refused to study the prophetic times they were witnessing. We hope you're not one of those types of people!
When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’
You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times (Matthew 16:2-3; NIV).
